Mahrie G. Reid

Mahrie created stories before she could write and later decided stories were a critical element to a full life. Pursuing an education, acquiring a husband and kids and a busy career overtook her writing for many years. She continue to read copiously, studied writing craft and shared her learning in workshops, conferences and courses. She has published non-fiction, short stories and poetry and now writes mystery novels with a touch of romance.

Her first and second books in the Caleb Cove Mysteries Series, were published in 2014 (Came Home Dead and Came Home to a Killing) Book 3, Came Home too Late was released June 2016. Mahrie is a member of Alberta Romance Writers Association and a graduate of Calgary's Citizen's Police Academy and Private Investigation 101. She designs and presents writing workshops for writing groups and conferences. Her current dwelling is in Central Alberta where she resides with her husband and a cat named Kotah.

The Left-Behind Bride

Maggie Conrad lost a fiancé in the first war and a second suitor in Nova Scotia’s August Gale.
